This dataset supports the study investigating the relationship between microevolutionary variation and macroevolutionary divergence in <i>Drosophila</i> wing morphology. The research demonstrated that variation across six biological levels—from within-individual variation to divergence across 40 million years—are positively correlated, suggesting a congruent structure in the developmental system across evolutionary time scales.Two datasets are included:A dataset specific to <i>Drosophila simulans</i> populations.A comprehensive dataset covering all 14 <i>Drosophila</i> species analyzed in the study.Each dataset contains Generalized Procrustes Aligned (GPA) wing shape coordinates (x1 to y12) along with metadata for individual identity (individual), isofemale line (line), wing side (side), replication (rep), taxonomy (genus, species), geographic origin (latitude, longitude, population), and rearing conditions (temperature, medium, daytime). Composite identifiers such as ind_side (individual × side) and env_all (combined environmental conditions) are also included.The repository also contains the full analysis code used in the study (analysis_code), enabling replication and extension of the analyses reported.All files are associated with the manuscript titled <i>"Conserved wing shape variation across biological scales unveils dialectical relationships between micro- and macroevolution"</i>.
