Time course of microbiota composition of a model colon inoculated with EPS plus or EPS minus Bifidobacterim. The transcriptomics data was obtained from Bifidobacterium breve UCC2003 wildtype and EPS minus. Pre-cultures grown in MRS media overnight were used to inoculate fresh cultures and harvested at exponential (~8 hr). Sequencing of RNA was carried out using Illumina HiSeq 2500 V4 (75bp) usign non stranded paired end protocols.
