Low-input bulk RNA sequencing of Drosophila nephrocytes

To validate the applicability of pre-amplified low-input RNA sequencing method in Drosophila melanogaster cell types, we used Drosophila nephrocytes as an example case. Overall design: We dissected Drosophila nephrocytes from adult animals to obtain 100 to 200 nephrocytes. We isolated total RNA using a low-input cDNA pre-amplification kit and then performed RNA sequencing on an Illumina-based platform.
