Source Code and Scripts : A High Resolution Wave Forecasting System for the Indian coastal region using Unstructured WAVEWATCH III

This repository contains the source code and analysis scripts used in the study "A High Resolution Wave Forecasting System for the Indian Coastal Region using Unstructured WAVEWATCH III". The study employed the WAVEWATCH III (WW3) model version 6.07. The source code corresponding to the model version used in the study is provided. The repository also includes the MATLAB script used to generate the unstructured computational mesh using OceanMesh2D. Model performance was evaluated against multiple observational datasets during the period 2022–2024, including coastal wave rider buoy observations, offshore buoy observations, satellite altimeter measurements, and drifter observations. Scripts used for collocation of model and observational data, statistical analysis, visualization, and reproduction of figures presented in the manuscript are included.
