Effective communication is vital in medical practice, influencing trust, adherence, and patient outcomes, yet medical education has historically emphasized technical over communicative skills. The Sell Yourself! – Presentation Techniques course was developed to address this gap through an intensive, practice-oriented framework integrating rhetorical theory, evolutionary psychology, and performance-based training. Delivered in small groups to more than 450 students from over 50 countries, the course combines iterative practice, structured peer feedback, and performance analysis to strengthen transferable communication skills across clinical, academic, and public contexts. Evaluation was conducted using the University of Pécs’ standardized anonymous feedback platform. Quantitative results revealed high satisfaction (mean 9.6/10), while qualitative thematic analysis highlighted perceived gains in clarity, adaptability, confidence, and rhetorical fluency. Reported critiques included pacing and course length, suggesting areas for re-finement. Although limited by reliance on self-reported outcomes and the absence of a control group, findings support the feasibility of structured rhetorical training as a repro-ducible model for embedding communication competence into medical curricula. We propose that systematic integration of such modules may enhance professional readiness and ultimately contribute to improved patient care quality.
