The study included 45 severe patients with confirmed SARS-CoV-2 positivity and thromboembolic complications, and 74 healthy controls without hematological disease. Gene expression (thrombin, plasmin, kallikrein, and alpha-2 macroglobulin) analyses were performed using RT-qPCR, and genetic variants (rs10842898 and rs669) were examined using DNA sequencing.
