Beta-nicotinamide mononucleotide production in Vibrio natriegens: a pre-feasibility study

This study aimed to evaluate the prefeasibility of nicotinamide mononucleotide (NMN) production in Vibrio natriegens by overexpressing genes coding for nicotinamide phosphoribosyltransferase (NAMPT) from various bacteria. Our work has showed that V. natriegens represents a promising alternative for the production of this nutraceutical compound.
