Research data for a sylvo-pastoral landscape study in Bouhachem Natural Park

This dataset contains the research data supporting the study “Spatio-temporal dynamics of the sylvo-pastoral interface in Bouhachem Natural Park (North-West Morocco): a remote sensing assessment of land-cover change under climatic variability and anthropogenic pressures (2015–2025)”. The dataset includes the climate and burned-area data, land-cover classification results for 2015, 2019, and 2025, classification accuracy assessment, land-cover transition matrices, forest and shrubland/grassland change data, NDVI change results, and correlation analysis used in the study. The dataset also includes Google Earth Engine scripts used for land-cover classification and change detection, as well as the available ArcGIS files and NDVI maps. Land-cover classification was performed using Landsat 8 imagery and the Random Forest classifier at 30 m spatial resolution. The land-cover classes considered were Forest, Shrubland/Grassland, and Bare Soil. The dataset covers Bouhachem Natural Park in north-western Morocco for the period 2015–2025.
