CLAWS Index Dataset and Scoring Workbook for Environmental and Hydrological Tool Assessment

This repository contains the dataset, scoring workbook, and figure-generation code associated with the manuscript “CLAWS: A Comprehensive Literature-Based Index for Assessing Environmental and Hydrological Tools.” The files support the application of the Comprehensive Literature-based Assessment with Weighted Scoring (CLAWS) Index to the Tethys Platform ecosystem. The repository includes the literature-screening record, extracted tool metadata, Tethys tool classifications, citation-source information, funding scores, operational relevance scores, normalized citation-rate calculations, composite index scores, and final rankings. The full CLAWS calculation table is provided in the workbook sheet titled Sheet5_IndexTable. The repository also includes the script used to generate the chronological evolution figure for the Tethys Platform case study. The dataset was developed from published papers, theses, reports, and documentation. No new field, experimental, or observational hydrologic data were generated. The files are provided to support transparency, reproducibility, and reuse of the CLAWS Index workflow.
