The global monthly mean temperature, salinity and ocean current reanalysis dataset SODA (Simple Ocean Data Assimilation) was developed by the University of Maryland, USA. It is in version SODA3.4.2, with the official data access link: http://dsrs.atmos.umd.edu/DATA/soda3.4.2/. The temporal coverage of the dataset spans from 1980 to 2019, with a horizontal resolution of 0.5° × 0.5°. The vertical dimension has 50 unevenly spaced layers ranging from 0 to 5395 m.
