资源简介:
The global demand for surfactants, crucial in various industries, has driven the exploration of eco-friendly options like alkyl polyglucoside (APG) surfactants. In particular, Triton® CG 110, an APG surfactant, was studied in synergy with fatty alcohol (C12OH) for its behavior in different formulations. This research focused on the impact of 1-dodecanol on Triton® CG 110, altering its micellar phase and oil-uptake abilities. SANS and Rheo-SANS at ISIS will be employed to analyze the surfactant's structure and to localize the C12OH under stationary conditions. Preliminary results indicated potential tailored applications due to intriguing transitions in rheological behavior.
This study not only advances APG surfactant knowledge but also offers vital insights into surfactant concentration and co-surfactant effects. These findings contribute significantly to developing sustainable, biodegradable materials, addressing environmental concerns linked to conventional surfactants.
