Resting metabolic rate data and R scripts for the analysis presenting in:
Dacre et al., (2024) The effects of diet and semiochemical exposure on male Bactrocera dorsalis (Hendel) (Diptera: Tephritidae) metabolic rate at a range of temperatures. Journal of Insect Physiology and underpinned a dissertation title "Metabolic rate and tethered flight perfomanace of male Bactrocera dorsalis (Hendel) (Diptera: Tephritidae) fed nutritional and semiochemical supplements".

RMR_Data_DDacre.xlsx contains four spreadsheets:

Info. A summary of the treatments and how data were collected.
RMR (Fertile). Data on CO2 emission and body weight of fertile male B. dorsalis fed two diets in which semiochemicals were also mixed.
Fertile_Sterile. Data on CO2 emission and body weight of sterile and fertile male B. dorsalis fed only a single diet and no semiochemicals.
EXP. Data on CO2 emission and body weight of fertile male B. dorsalis exposed to semiochemicals for different durations before testing.

RMR_analysis.r and RMR_analysis.rproj contain scripts for analysis of the data using R.
