Cecum bacteria microbiota composition in mouse model of nonalcoholic fatty liver disease

Agouti yellow mice were fed a Western-style diet and a high fructose corn syrup equivalent for 16 weeks to induce obesity and non-alcoholic steatohepatitis with liver fibrosis. Three additional groups of mice were included as controls: wild-type mice fed the same diet, agouti yellow mice fed a low-fat diet, and wild-type mice-fed a low fat diet.
