Gene expression analysis in human scalp biopsies from lichen planopilaris patients

We performed a small clinical trial using levia, theradome and plaquenil for the treatment of lichen planopilaris (LPP). Scalp biopsies were obtained at baseline and 6 months, and gene expression was assessed with the NanoString fibrosis panel with additional custom spike-in genes. Gene expression was analyzed using 817 Nanostring probes to analyze 6 patients treated with Levia, 4 with Theradome and 5 with Plaquenil comparing baseline to 6 months (scalp biopsies).
