Association of salivary microbiome with health checkup data in Sunstar employees

The study of microbiome in the human body has been actively carried out as one of the factors that influence human health, and many publications can be found. In the oral cavity, various oral microbes have been proposed as bacteria related to health maintenance, and are attracting attention. The above research results may lead to new discoveries and products. In addition, an analysis of the oral microbiota in periodontal disease and diabetes is also being conducted. However, there is a little example that the relationship between the oral microbiome and the whole body using a huge amount of health checkup data. Therefore, we analyzed association of salivary microbiome with health checkup data in Sunstar employees. The goal of this study is to discover oral microbes or biomarker for maintaining oral and systemic health or preventing disease.
