Gut microbiome of healthy, native, Arab Kuwaitis

Characterising the “normal” gut microbiota in different geographical regions provides a comprehensive picture of the microbiota from a global perspective which is important for improving our understanding of the relationship of dysbiosis to specific health conditions as it relates to different populations. There is limited data describing the gut microbiota of people in the Arabian Peninsula, of which Kuwait is a part. In this study we describe the gut microbiota of native adult Arab Kuwaitis.
