Transcriptional impact of EGFR-AT1R-crosstalk (Transient transfection of AT1R in HEK293 cells)

The impact of AT1R and EGFR on SRF transcriptional activity, signaling pathways and transcriptome regulation were investigated in HEK293, HK-2 and vascular smooth muscle cells, applying reporter gene, protein and mRNA expression techniques as well as RNAseq followed by bioinfor-matic analysis. Overall design: RNASequencing of HEK293 cells *transiently* tranfected with human angiotensin II receptor type 1 (AT1R) and stimulated for 6 and 24h with either EGF, angiotenin II or EGF+angiotensin II. Raw RNASequencing data were treated successively with HISAT2 (mapping) and featureCounts (counting).
