Transcriptome analysis of developing stem in rice. Oryza sativa

The stem which consists of nodes and internodes is one of major organ in plants, however, how the stem develops is largely elusive. To characterize its developmental processes, we divided young stem of a rice cultivar T65 at 5 or 10 mm length stages into 1 or 2 mm slices and performed mRNAseq analyses. To explore important developmental pathways, we also included dwarf mutant d6 into analyses.
