Number of asset managers in Europe in 2022, by country

In Europe, the highest number of asset managers can be found in the UK and France, due to the importance of their financial centers in London and Paris. The UK was home to a total of 1,000 asset management companies in 2022.In 2021, the value of total assets under management (AUM) in Europe totaled more than 32 trillion euros. As well as headquartering the highest number of asset managers in Europe, the UK was also home to the highest value of assets under management.
