Long noncoding RNA LINC00844 regulates prostate cancer metastasis through AR signaling. Homo sapiens

Long non-coding RNAs (lncRNA) have been shown to be critical for many biological processes including cancer. Systematic characterization of prostate cancer associated lncRNAs is critical for the advancement of our understanding of prostate cancer and development of newer therapy. We have identified a novel AR-regulated prostate cancer associated lncRNA, LINC00844 with tumor and metastasis inhibitory phenotype. LINC00844 modulates global AR binding to the chromatin and regulates the expression of crucial AR-regulated genes.
