Anguilla japonica Transcriptome or Gene expression

Anguilla Japonica, known as Japanese eel, is currently one of the most important objects in eastern Asia aquaculture. Abundance of Japanese eels as well as all other catadromous eels, such as European eels and American eels, has been declining over 90% in the past two decades. Despite listed as endangered species, the global eels stocks, especially in Asia, are still suffering for overconsumption.
