Emission Factors of VOCs and I/S/LVOCs from Typical Architectural Coatings in China

This dataset provides a comprehensive molecular-level inventory of emission factors for volatile and intermediate/semi/low-volatile organic compounds (VOCs and I/S/LVOCs) emitted from typical architectural coatings in China. Based on experimental chamber studies combining high-resolution PTR-TOF-MS and GC-MS techniques, we identified and quantified over 200 organic compounds across multiple widespread coating categories (including water-based and solvent-based coatings). The data explicitly details the compound-specific emission factors (µg/g), distinguishing the significant but previously overlooked contributions of low-volatility species. These parameters are crucial for improving secondary organic aerosol (SOA) modeling and indoor multi-pathway health risk assessments.
