This dataset consists of high-precision zinc isotope data of alkaline basalts from the Madeira Islands in the eastern North Atlantic, which were measured using multi-collector inductively coupled plasma mass spectrometry (MC-ICP-MS). It has important implications for understanding the material composition of the mantle source beneath the Madeira Islands and the processes of deep carbon cycling.
