Draft genome sequence of Rhodosporidium toruloides CECT1137. Rhodotorula toruloides strain:CECT1137

We report the sequencing of the basidiomycetous yeast Rhodosporidium toruloides CECT1137. The current assembly comprises of 62 scaffolds, for a total size of ca. 20,45 Mbp and a GC content of ca. 61.9 %. The current draft relies on 62 scaffolds, for a total size of 20,445,260 bp and a G+C content of ca. 61.9 %. 8206 putative genes have been identified, 212 of which harbour potential for alternative splicings. 145 additional genes have been annotated as dubious models (e.g. frameshifts, stop in translation, dubious start or stop) or pseudogenes. The genome contains 149 tRNAs, as well as 249 miscRNAs.
