资源简介:
Kawasaki disease (KD) is a multi-systemic vasculitis of unknown etiology that occurs mainly in children, and the disturbance of gut microbiota is increasingly believed to cause a hyperimmune reaction to trigger KD. Intriguingly, the incidence of KD seems different from geographic area as the pattern of gut microbiota, while Asian population has the highest one around the world.Kawasaki disease (KD) is a multi-systemic vasculitis of unknown etiology that occurs mainly in children, and the disturbance of gut microbiota is increasingly believed to cause a hyperimmune reaction to trigger KD. Intriguingly, the incidence of KD seems different from geographic area as the pattern of gut microbiota, while Asian population has the highest one around the world. Our results indicated that both Bacteroides ovatus and Eggerthella lenta might deregulate the flavone and flavonol biosynthesis and consequently modulate immune cells and response in triggering KD in Taiwan. This study suggests that gut microbiota alteration is closely associated with immune cells and responses, and provides a new perspective on the etiology and pathogenesis of KD.Our results indicated that both Bacteroides ovatus and Eggerthella lenta might deregulate the flavone and flavonol biosynthesis and consequently modulate immune cells and response in triggering KD in Taiwan.
