Interviews underlaying PhD thesis titled Movement and Materiality in the submerged Grounds of Kutch

Data collected as a part of the PhD project titled 'Movement and Materiality in the Submerged Grounds of Kutch. Thematically, the PhD focuses on social, political and environmental issues in the coastal regions of Kutch, a district in Gujarat, India. This dataset includes the key interviews / conversations conducted during 2021-2022 for fieldwork in Gujarat. The thesis is qualitative in nature and was based on observations and conversations. These were conducted in person and in Hindi, Gujarati and English. Conversations were noted in short form and then analysed directly. Respondants include community members (anonymous), geologists and social workers who work on the environment and livelihood. Informed consent processes were followed and the dataset includes the consent form ( in three languages) and Information sheet shared with them. They have been tabulated in an excel sheet and shared.
