Election Survey, 2017

The Election Study was conducted in the fall of 2017. The purpose of the study was to describe turnout, political orientation and attitudes to political issues among the population.The Norwegian Election Study 2017 is funded by the Institute for Social Research (ISF). For the survey, 3,200 people between the ages of 18 and 79 were drawn from the Population Register. Half of these were also included in the sample for The Norwegian Election Study 2013. The rest were drawn new this year. The survey was conducted as a combined telephone, visitor and web survey. We obtained an interview with 61.8 percent of the sample. The main reasons why we did not get a response from everyone were that some people did not want to participate and that we did not get in touch with all the people in the sample during the data collection period.
