Summary: The dataset below provides a curated bibliography of Romanian book titles translated and published abroad through the translation funding programmes administered by the Romanian Cultural Institute, namely the Translation and Publication Support Programme (TPS) and the 20 de autori programme. The data cover the period 2006-2020 and were compiled from a public list published in the Romanian Cultural Institute’s online archives under the title “Autori publicați în cadrul programelor de finanțare derulate de Institutul Cultural Român prin Centrul Național al Cărții” (“Authors Published Under Funding Programmes Administered by the Romanian Cultural Institute through the National Book Centre”)[1]. The list comprises 665 entries, corresponding to grants awarded through the TPS and the 20 de autori programmes. In addition to the information provided in the source list, which includes authors, titles (original and/or translated), translators, translation publishers, years, and languages, the present dataset supplements and systematises this data by structuring it around the following fields: original titles, original publication years and publishers, translator names, translation languages, translation publishers, translation publication years, and countries of publication. The format of this final bibliographic tool, together with certain aspects of its content, was informed by the bibliography published by Andreea Mironescu and Gabriela Vieru in 2025[2]. Their earlier work thus constitutes an important point of reference in the development of the present instrument and deserves explicit acknowledgment for its contribution to shaping it. 5. Methodology: The data were collected and verified from the following sources: (1) the above-cited official list of outputs from TPS- and 20 de autori-funded translation programmes; (2) national library catalogues; (3) publisher websites; and (4) bibliographic databases, research guides, and dictionaries[3]. In cases where the relevant data could not be identified, the corresponding cells were designated as N/A.; 6. File Description: The dataset consists of two .CSV files: 1. ROMANIAN BOOKS IN STATE-SPONSORED TRANSLATION (2006-2020); 2. ANTHOLOGIES AND COMPILATIONS (2006-2020); 7. Data Completeness and Missing Data Policy: Empty cells indicate information that could not be verified or located in the available sources (e.g., Amharic translations of certain Romanian titles could not be identified). N/A indicates that the information is not applicable (e.g., original title fields for volumes published directly in translation, where no Romanian-language original exists).; 8. Limitations: Not all volumes funded through the TPS and 20 de autori programmes could be identified in the sources consulted. Some data (such as original publication years and original publishers) were unavailable in secondary sources. Publisher names may vary slightly across sources; while efforts were made to standardise them, some inconsistencies may remain.; 9.
