Against the background of global change, extreme weather and climate events have become increasingly frequent. To standardize the definitions of extreme climate events across different countries and regions, the World Meteorological Organization (WMO) established the Expert Team on Climate Change Detection and Indices (ETCCDI), which proposed 27 representative extreme temperature and precipitation indices to standardize research on global extreme climate events. Using the CN05.1 gridded dataset, the author calculated 27 extreme climate indices.
