Home owners and renters with smart home energy storage in the U.S. and Canada 2019

As of 2019 in the United States and Canada, it was more common among home owners to have smart home energy storage capabilities, compared to home renters. Nearly 30 percent of the interviewed owners had smart home energy storage, such as lithium bateries or solar panels, whereas the corresponding percentage of renters was 15 percent.
