Comparative Molecular Epidemiology of ESBL-Associated and Carbapenemase- Associated/CRE Escherichia coli from Bovine Mastitis Reveals a Distinct High-Risk Subset

This repository contains the anonymized isolate-level dataset supporting the manuscript entitled “Comparative Molecular Epidemiology of ESBL-Associated and Carbapenemase-Associated/CRE Escherichia coli from Bovine Mastitis Reveals a Distinct High-Risk Subset.” The dataset includes non-identifiable data for bovine mastitis-associated Escherichia coli isolates collected in western Türkiye during 2023–2025. The deposited files include isolate metadata, clinical/subclinical mastitis classification, antimicrobial susceptibility test results, antimicrobial-class resistance burden, MDR/XDR classification, phenotypic ESBL/carbapenemase test results, PCR-based beta-lactamase gene profiles, class 1 and class 2 integron results, Clermont phylogroup assignments, and statistical input tables used for the analyses presented in the manuscript. No personal, farm-identifying, or owner-identifying information is included. The dataset is provided to support transparency, reproducibility, and editorial data-availability requirements.
