The North American Transportation Atlas Data (NORTAD)
CD-ROM is a collection of geo-spatial data sets of transportation
facilities for Canada, Mexico, and the United States depicting
nationally significant transportation facilities, networks, and
geographic entities. Also included are Border Crossing highway
and rail facilities located at the border of the United States and
Canada or the United States and Mexico.
The data sets are designed for use within Geographic Information
System (GIS) software packages. GIS can be used to locate
transportation features and provide a framework for
transportation network and flow analyses.
The data sets located at this site are the most recent
DOS/Windows versions available to the general public. To obtain a
complete set of the data, you may place an order on-line for the
NORTAD CD-ROM. The CD-ROM contains both UNIX and
DOS/Windows format files.
