It is well known that MHC genotype is relevant to infectious and autoimmune diseases in humans as well as in rhesus macaques. Therefore, accurate MHC genotyping is important for immunological researches using animal models such as rhesus macaques. To determine highly expressed MHC class I major alleles of rhesus macaques, we attempted to develop a new NGS-based genotyping method by using Ion PGM sequencer.
