资源简介:
Composed by several elements in high concentrations, the Multiple-Principal Element Alloys (MPEAs) has an extensive compositional space. Within this class, some FCC alloys form L1₂ precipitates, which significantly strengthen the alloy. These precipitates have its morphology strongly dependent upon its size and the lattice misfit with the FCC phase, both of which are controlled by alloy composition. Considering the virtually infinite compositional possibilities of MPEAs, we propose a high-throughput experimental approach using diffusion couples to explore multiple compositions within a single specimen. At the BM02/D2AM beamline, simultaneous WAXS and SAXS measurements will enable the correlation of lattice misfit (via lattice parameter determination) with precipitate size and morphology, hence establishing robust composition–microstructure relationships.
