Uniting Resources to Build Sustainable Future: RU:RS LIB Forum

RU:RS Lib Forum as a platform for cooperation between Russian and Serbian library associations, since August 2024 improves professional dialogue, knowledge exchange through collecting and analyzing relevant data presented through designed projects and initiatives. The general goal of the Forum is to improve communication and exchange of ideas and best practices, while promoting Slavic heritage and achieve innovation through partnerships within the GLAM sector. Guidelines for work are defined within five topics: Innovative Practice and Professional Development, Libraries in the Digital World of Artificial Intelligence, Heritage Research, Youth in Libraries, Encouraging Children to Read. Each group has determined a work plan and methods for implementing a priority theme for each year based on storytelling and the application of ICT. Forum is working to achieve specific goals for beneficial professional and societal outcomes: popularization of Slavic heritage globally, nurturing and strengthening cultural ties between Russia and Serbia, development of librarians` exchange of best practices, ensuring the provision of high-quality services to the users. These specific goals are defined to open new ways of thinking and develop an open space for lifelong training of librarians and dissemination of knowledge to obtain sustainable and continuous development of Forum and its forms of learning.
