Perionyx excavatus, an indigenous tropical earthworm exhibits remarkable regenerative abilities. Their anterior regenerative abilities encompass wound closure, induction of regeneration, and morphogenesis of the central nervous system, reproductive system, and other damaged organs. This study extensively examined their transcriptome dataset, focusing on identifying the genes involved during regeneration and predicting their implications in regeneration and morphogenesis. RNA samples from the first ten segments of the control group and the blastema on day five of the test group were extracted and sequenced using NovaSeq 6000 with a read length of PE150.
