Interoception and Alexithymia Data

This spreadsheet contains data for three studies. The data for each study includes basic demographic information (age, sex). Data for Study 1, which involved 145 university students (75 female), also includes summary scores on self-report measures tapping into alexithymia [Toronto Alexithymia Scale (TAS-20)], sensory processing sensitivity [Highly Sensitive Person Scale (HSPS), Orienting Sensitivity subscale of the Adult Temperament Questionnaire OS)], and interoceptive accuracy (Interoceptive Accuracy Scale). Data for Study 2, which involved 98 university students (49 female), also includes summary scores for the TAS-20, HSPS, OS, and the Multidimensional Assessment of Interoceptive Awareness-2 (MAIA-2). Data for Study 3, which involved 53 university students (26 female), also includes summary scores for the TAS-20 and the MAIA-2, along with mean intensity, pleasantness, and approachability ratings for stimulus faces showing subtle expressions (shame, confusion, sympathy, desire, pride, surprise, interest).
