Marine microbial community in the temperate coastal region

This project focused on the 1.6-0.2 ?m size fraction planktonic microbial community structure in the temperate coastal region of Sanriku area, Japan. Sampling stations were located along the two transect lines from the inner part of the Otsuchi Bay (OT) and Onagawa Bay (ON) to each offshore. Bacterial 16S rRNA gene analysis using DNA and cDNA derived from surface (0m) seawater samples were analyzed by a Roch 454 GS Jr pyrosequencer.
