资源简介:
Abnormalities of the endometrium are the most common health issues for women. These include infertility, endometriosis, and endometrial cancer. A common aetiology of these endometrial conditions is the unopposed estrogen action due to impaired progesterone signalling. However, the mechanism underlying the antagonistic effect of progesterone to estrogen is poorly understood. The central objective of the project is to gain an in depth understanding of the mechanisms of the antagonism using a progesterone receptor mutant mouse model and to identify endometrial and plasma biomarkers indicative effective progesterone antagonism of estrogen action.
