East Bohemian Museum Specimens

The herbarium (MP) is part of the collection of the East Bohemian Museum in Pardubice. It has been in development since 1927. However, the collection also includes a number of older specimens (from the first half of the 19th century), which were acquired through purchases or donations of private herbariums. The herbarium primarily comprises specimens from Eastern Bohemia and collections from other regions of the Czech Republic. Currently, the herbarium contains 130,000 specimens of vascular plants (the most extensive part is the collection of the genus Rubus by collector L. Palka), 1,000 fungi, 7,000 lichens, 1,700 liverworts, and 8,000 mosses. The collection is accessible to researchers by arrangement with the curator. https://www.vcm.cz/en/muzeum/sbirky/
