Mitochondrial regulation of bone homeostasis via mitochondria transfer

To reveal an unappreciated mechanism of mitochondrial regulation of skeletal metabolic homeostasis via mitochondria transfer and provide new insights of the mechanism of glucocorticoid-induced osteoporosis progression. Overall design: Purified mT/mG mtD2pos and mtD2neg osteoclast progenitors (OCPs) after coculture and OCPs without co-culture (Ctrl) were sorted and performed unbiased RNA-sequencing to test whether mitochondria transfer from osteolineage to osteoclastic lineage cells is associated with alterations in activities of osteoclastic lineage cells.
