disdrometer_Seoul
收藏资源简介:
An approximately 8-year microphysical observation dataset is constructed based on the disdrometer observation at Seoul National University since 2018. This dataset includes raw precipitation particle counts and 21 ready-to-use microphysical variables such as particle size distribution, particle number concentration, precipitation water content, precipitation rate, characteristic velocities and diameters of the particles, spectral widths, radar reflectivity factor, and the parameters of exponential and gamma distributions. This dataset comprises liquid precipitation records of 4015 h and mixed-phase and solid precipitation records of 319 h. Temperature, wind, humidity, and pressure observed at the same location are also included to support customized quality control procedures and potential complementary analysis. The dataset contains a variety of precipitation events occurred in South Korea and can be used for case studies on these events. The long temporal coverage of this dataset can allow a further reliable examination of microphysical properties and their relationships with meteorological conditions. Also, this dataset can be used as a sample of microphysical observations obtained from one of the largest cities in East Asia.
