These files relate to the purchase, repair, hire and return of a wide variety of mechanical plant and equipment (tractors, backhoes, compressors, typewriters, radio telephones, etc.). They include correspondence, some specifications and tenders, quotations, brochures from manufacturers and suppliers, requisitions, reports and certificates of inspection, receipts for plant, inventories of tools and records of repairs and hires. The files also relate to the acquisition and evaluation of plan printing machines, methods of calculating depreciation of plant, design and construction of the survey launch "F.L. Mathews" and of a trailer for the launch "Eric M. Beach".
