Socio-Economic Insights Survey (SEIS) - June/July 2024

The 2024 Socio-Economic Insights Survey (SEIS) in Bulgaria was conducted to evaluate the urgent needs and demographic profiles of Ukrainian refugee households as part of a broader regional assessment across ten countries for the Ukraine Situation. With the endorsement of the National Statistics Institute and Bulgarian Council of Ministers, data collection took place from June to July 2024, targeting 1,055 households through randomized face-to-face interviews, primarily along the Black Sea coast where many refugees reside. Managed by Global Metrics Ltd., the survey highlights critical areas, including protection, health, livelihoods, education, and social cohesion, to support the 2025-26 Regional Refugee Response Plan with evidence-based insights for strategic interventions and enhanced refugee welfare in Bulgaria.
