Census of Population and Housing, 1980: County to County Migration Flows, New York

<p>This special sumary tape file (STF) provides data for migration flows into and out of each county, as well as for intra-county movers and nonomovers. All intra-state flows are shown but interstate flows below a minimum (100 persons) are combined into State balances. Movers from abroad are disaggregated to show Puerto Rico, other outlying areas, and "balance of abroad" if the flows are above the minimum. The items include college attendance, work status, occupation, industry, income, education, marital status, and place of birth. These variables are cross-tabulated by age and sometimes by race and/or Spanish origin. The sample is approximately one-half of the full census sample, thus figures in thbis file may differ from those in the full census sample or from the Public Use Microdata Sample (PUMS).</p>
