## **Abstract** \n\nThis dataset and its metadata statement were supplied to the Bioregional Assessment Programme by a third party and are presented here as originally supplied.\n\n\n\nThis dataset was created by DEPI and provided to the Bureau of Meteorology as a once off extract\n\nNOTE: Mining licences are not included in this dataset.\n\nVolume of Entitlment ML/YR by licence was distributed to WorksID by the Department of Environment and Primary Industries\n\n\n\nThis dataset has been provided to the BA Programme for use within the programme only. Current data are available from http://www.environment.gov.au/fed/catalog/main/home.page\n\n## **Purpose** \n\nThis data has been used to allocate volume ML/yr to works in in the Victorian Extract of NGIS\n\n## **Dataset History** \n\nThe Victorian Extract of the National Groundwater Information was joined to an Licence extract obtained direct from DEPI \n\nVolume is in the unit of ML/year per \n\nThe number of works was calculated for each licence and the volume was distributed evenly across works (bores) by Internally by DEPI (sheet1)\n\nPlease note this dataset was a 'once off' extract provided by Emma Davidson on the 21/10/2014 in DEPI and was work in preparation for NGIS\n\nNOTE: Mining licences are not included in this dataset\n\nRedundant fields were removed (any fields that were not populated)\n\nRecords were classifed as "Basic Water Right" or "Water Access Right"\n\n\tClassify by water use by \\[F_TYPE\\]\n\n\\*\tDomestic 'DOM' and Stock 'STOK' = 'Basic Water Right'\n\n\\*\tAll Others = 'Water Access Right'\n\n\\*\t'EXPR' or 'MON' = N/A\n\n## **Dataset Citation** \n\nVictorian Department of Environment, Land, Water and Planning (2014) Groundwater Licences Entitlement Volume To Bores Vic DEPI 20141021.
