Area of Interest: Comparing Satellite Landcover and Tree Canopy Data to Ground Observations in Preserve and Suburban Environments

This dataset contains the spatial boundary and sample point data used in a land cover validation study conducted in northwestern Illinois, USA. The Area of Interest (AOI) represents a 3 km × 3 km study area. These files were used to support comparisons between ground observations and satellite-derived land cover classifications.
