This dataset contains synchronized acoustic and electrophysiological recordings collected from awake, vocalizing big brown bats (Eptesicus fuscus) during in-place flight using a custom 3D-printed harness. All recordings were obtained using a non-invasive experimental setup and comply with ethical guidelines for animal research. The dataset includes 14,364 self-emitted echolocation calls recorded from three individual bats, alongside simultaneously acquired electroencephalographic (EEG) signals. Associated metadata describe acoustic call parameters (intensity and duration) as well as neural response measures derived from auditory brainstem responses, including response amplitude and latency. Control recordings include data from Bat #3 under two conditions: (1) active echolocation during in-place flight with electrodes attached to the lower back, and (2) passive listening without flight to previously recorded self-generated echolocation sequences. , , # In-flight neural EEG representation of echolocation in bats Dataset DOI: https://doi.org/10.5061/dryad.dz08kps9w **Overview** This dataset contains synchronized audio and EEG recordings used to extract parameters (latency and amplitude) of three auditory brainstem response waves, together with echolocation call intensities and durations.
