IMU-Based Shoulder Kinematics Dataset for Modified Mallet Scale Movements in Brachial Plexus Birth Injury
收藏资源简介:
This dataset contains upper-body kinematic data collected from the unaffected arms of 10 children with Narakas Type 2a brachial plexus birth injury (BPBI) (6 girls, 4 boys; age: 6.6 ± 1.1 years) during performance of the six Modified Mallet Scale (MMS) movements. Motion data were recorded using nine Movella DOT inertial measurement units (IMUs) placed on the upper arms, forearms, hands, head, C7, and pelvis, sampled at 60 Hz. Data were processed and analyzed using an OpenSim upper-body model and the IMU Inverse Kinematics Tool to derive shoulder joint angles across three Euler rotation sequences (ZXY, XZY, YXY). The study was retrospectively conducted using data from a previous project (accessed 01 April 2025), approved by the Hacettepe University Physical Therapy and Rehabilitation Faculty Research Ethics Committee (Approval No: FTREK 25/02, dated 20.02.2025). No personal identifiers are included in this dataset. Funding: This work was supported by the Scientific Research Projects Coordination Unit of Hacettepe University under grant number THD-2024-20463.
