Sex Events in Germany — Open Data Repository

Abstract / Description This repository provides a comprehensive research environment for the sociological study of sex-positive and lifestyle events in Germany, covering the years 2023 and 2025. It documents the complete research lifecycle—from the first structuring of web data to longitudinal statistical analysis and hierarchical cluster analysis. Core Components: Quantitative Event Data: Event-level aggregated datasets for 2023 (76 cases) and 2025, including demographics (age structures), pricing (solo/couple ratios), and visitor composition. Qualitative & Auxiliary Data: Coding matrices and summary statistics derived from event descriptions and user comments (e.g., negative segment density, newcomer addressing). Analysis Scripts (R): A full suite of scripts for bootstrapped (BCa) group comparisons, longitudinal age/price analysis, and hierarchical cluster analysis (Ward's D2) with stability assessments (ARI, CMC). Processing Scripts (Python): Extraction tools used to parse raw web data, calculate geographic distances to venues, and identify external registrations.
